I spent the first part of my career as an art director/designer working for some of the best advertising agencies and design shops in Boston. I loved it. But I could never seem to put the camera down.

I’ve been lucky enough to spend the second part of my career traveling to Saudi Arabia, London, Scotland, Mexico City, Hawaii, Dubai, Argentina and the US of A with my newer camera. I love making images that are full of life, color and movement. Good energy. I live for it. And I am incredibly grateful that I get to meet such amazing people along the way.

People sometimes ask me what I like to shoot the most… and to be honest I’ve never really had a great answer to that. I think a photographer should be flexible, a great communicator, collaborator and lover of light. Projects have come in all shapes and sizes over the years… and I’ve always found that to be the best part of the gig. Each project is a new challenge to me and another opportunity to grab the camera and do what I love alongside the best brands, agencies and crews from around the world.

I’m a libra. People call me Sal for short. I’m only half Italian but I can make you a hell of an Arrabiata. I’m a lefty. My dad used to have a dark room in our attic. I collect vinyl. I grew up on ponds, hockey rinks and baseball fields in the 90s on the North Shore of Boston but I lost my accent years ago. I have a Labradoodle named Marley after the legend. When time allows, I’ll play a little guitar and do some yoga. I love the ocean and the sweet sound of reggae music. My wife Laura is by far my favorite artist and I have two boys who are17 and 12 that play a combined 75+ baseball, hockey and lacrosse games a year. I love playing this while dreaming of living out in Hawaii someday.
